For over four decades...

Molitor Athletic Fields has been building, renovating, and maintaining athletic fields in the Chicago area. Location of each field and infrastructure is key to keeping fields playable and durable. Good soil, growing conditions, drainage, and water are needed to keep turf growing and baseball mix durable. Turf always needs watering after play and growing grass is almost impossible without irrigation. Baseball mix simply blows away when it dries.

Molitor Athletic Fields...

designs work on irrigation systems, drainage systems, athletic fields, site detention areas, and flood plains. This is important to keep the field playable.

Infield construction...

and irrigation drainage layout. Infield flag heads are placed 10 feet in from base paths, I-25 Hunter heads, 360 degrees on 1” swing joints. Rear radius heads are set 10 feet back from the ball mix and are also 360 degree. We recommend placing a quick coupler behind the pitcher's mound when you want to water exact locations.
